Kiawe Grill, dunno why I had Lamb on my mind.
Decided to go and eat at Kiawe Grill and for some reason I wanted to try the Lamp Chops, funny since this is the first time I have ever bought Lamb. I eat it only if someone makes it (usually my sister, they like to eat Lamb). Kiawe Grill gives you a plate to select the vegetables that you want which reminds you of a Korean Plate Lunch place you get 14oz of vegetables (the plate they give you weighs 16oz) the girl at the counter told us you can fill it up to 30 huh? oh yeah because of the plate heh. well as you can see I loaded it up with the dry Daikon Kim Chee, Bean Sprouts, Choy Sum, Tofu and a dollop of Mac salad. The Lamb was sliced thinly (which I think was better that they did that) but was very moist and not overcooked. Lamb can be quite flavorful and this was no exception I got the Pulehu Lamb which was great if you like Lamb. I previously had the Kiawe Special with the Chicken, Beef and Kalbi and that had that signature smoky flavor the lamb it seems they don't add any smokey flavor to it which is good it lets the lamb taste shine through.
Kiawe Grill has quite a bit of exotic meats to satisfy anyone with their choices of Ostrich, Kobe Beef, Buffalo, and Lamb (the only one I haven't tried is the Ostrich) a great place to go when you want a little something different.
